Well, friends…at the urging of many readers, family members and friends, I decided a few weeks ago to begin work on a pretty big undertaking – the creation of a comprehensive course on PDF sewing pattern design. Pattern University is my next big project, and I’m so excited to see it coming together!
The course will be a paid course (price not yet determined) offered through CourseCraft, and it will basically take you through the entire process of developing PDF sewing patterns – sketching, prototyping, digitizing, grading, tiling, organizing, marketing and selling.
For now, I’m putting all my focus into finishing up this course, and I won’t be publishing any more free Adobe tutorials. I really love offering the free materials, but dang, guys…creating video tutorials is hard work, and the resulting questions and requests are quite time-consuming. I ultimately decided that I could continue doing the free tutorials and seeing it as a chore, OR, I could create this course, enjoy it and make a little extra cash for my family. You could certainly see why I would choose the latter.
I haven’t been posting much sewing here lately because we’ve been traveling all around for 30 of the last 90 days. Whew! But there are no more trips planned for the time being, and it’s time to get back into the swing of things.
So, if you’re interested in Pattern University, be sure to sign up for the mailing list to be the first to know when enrollment opens. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the fun posts I have planned over the next few weeks!
