Things that are happening.

Well first, there’s this.

My sweater design for KnitPicks is ALMOST ready for testing! At least it’s knitted. Now, I just have to let it dry. Seam it. Photograph it. Grade the pattern. Make tutorial videos. Have it tech edited. Sign up testers. Have it tested. Edit the pattern if necessary.

And then, you know, THEN I’m done.

I had hoped to have this thing ready to send off at the end of November. Ahem. Ha! That didn’t happen. I kind of forgot about the whole tech editing and testing part. I guess that’s part of the “budding designer” learning curve.

All that aside, I am PSYCHED about how it’s looking so far! I really hope this comes together as I’ve envisioned it, and I really hope others like it (and want to knit it!) as much as I do.

Oh yes, and this. I waited until the last minute to whip something up for Harper for Halloween (I know, I know, that was a month and a half ago. Sue me.). Can you even get over the massive amounts of cute???!!

It’s hard to tell she had a fever of about 102 degrees in these pics. We weren’t out very long before this little one was ready to go home and get a nice big dose of Children’s Tylenol.

She clearly wasn’t a huge fan of her wig at first…

Maybe “not a huge fan” is an understatement.

But she got used to it.

Maybe even liked it!Is it weird that I get a high out of all the, “Awwwwwww, look how cute she is!” comments from onlookers? I didn’t think so.

And finally…

This! We are due at the end of June next year. We couldn’t be more excited. :)

1.That sweater is beautiful, I love the patterns!!
    2. When I was just tiny (3? 4?) I was Raggedy Ann for Halloween and, to date, it is one of my favorite Halloween photos. Harper looks absolutely adorable, I can’t get over the wig and the leg warmers/socks! Swoon!

So many amazing things, I don’t know where to start!! First of Congratulations! Wow, that is some news!! Wishing for a smooth-sailing pregnancy and delivery for you. And second, your daughter is beyond adorable and that costume is so great, I completely missed out on Halloween here in Germany but next year I’ll try to whip up something for Axel. Last but not least, can I just say your new design is looking mighty exciting? I really love what I’m seeing so far, and I’m kind of dying of curiosity… is it going to be a cardigan? Have you found a good tech editor?

I have been such a bad comment reply-er! Thanks for your words. :) The sweater is going to be a cardigan. It’s done - just putting the finishing touches on the pattern to be sent to testers. To be honest, I decided not to have it tech edited. I am going to do several edits myself and go from there…I know, I know. We are just on a VERY tight budget right now…and with 18 charts that have to be checked, no tech editor will touch it for what I can afford to pay! :(
