More fall sewing! I can't get enough! And yet another Linden by Grainline Studio. This time, I modified it with a cowl neck, and I LOVE IT. Also, can you tell this sweater knit is totally see-through? Oh well! I guess I'll have to whip up a new Lark Tee (Grainline's newest pattern) to wear underneath! Another excuse for more sewing!
(Psssst! Pattern Workshop is on sale right now for just $129! Head over there and check it out!)
Anyway, yes, I made another one of these. It's one of my favorite patterns, as you can see. I had it all sewn up and was about to apply the neckband when I thought...hmmm...this sweater would be just diving with a big, floppy cowl neck. And so, I made one! That's the beauty of sewing your own clothes!
This modification was super simple - I kept the width of the neckband and simply made it about 16" tall. I sewed it to the neckline as normal (doubled over with wrong sides together), and voila! Instant cowl neck sweater that I didn't have to knit.
This is a size 6 with no fit modifications, and as I've said many times before, this pattern is perfection. I am 5'6" and 35"-30"-38" as photographed. Enjoy!
